There are growth factors in platelets. When platelets are activated, growth factors are secreted from the alpha granules, which has a positive stimulating effect on the hair.

It has been shown that the inductive activity of dermal papillae in the dermis increases particularly when platelet-derived growth factor AA (PDGF-AA) is applied together with fibroblast growth factor. Insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1) stimulates the proliferation of cyclin Ki-67 in basal keratinocytes. Vascular endothelial growth factor stimulates angiogenesis. PRP, when applied after hair transplantation, speeds up the recovery time of the follicles and improves the results of the hair transplant. PRP treatment is a completely natural process. A 9 cc blood is taken from a peripheral vein, with 1 cc of citrate added to prevent clotting.
